Hannah Fraser

Hannah Fraser is currently a Music Education major with a

concentration in bassoon and an Applied Voice minor at the University of Delaware. At Delaware, she participates in the UD Fighting Blue Hen Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Collegium Musicum,and Schola Cantorum. She is also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Kappa Delta Pi education honors society, and the Phi Kappa Phi academic honors society. Currently, she serves as treasurer for UD's chapter of the Music Educators National Conference and the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the Gordon Institute of Music Learning (GIML). In 2009, she attended a GIML mastership certification class in Early Childhood Music Level 1. While there, she studied with Dr. Edwin

Gordon, Dr. Wendy Valerio, Jennifer Bailey, and Heather Kirby.





Kristen LaPorte

Kristen LaPorte is a senior music education major here at UD and is thrilled to be returning as an early childhood music teacher through CMS.  Kristen has completed the Gordon Institute for Music Learning early childhood certification workshop and has been affiliated with the early childhood music program for 3 years.  Outside of UD, Kristen enjoys directing the children's choir at her church and hopes to teach either early childhood or elementary music after graduation.



Sadie Pincus

Sadie Pincus is a senior music education at University of Delaware with a Choral/General concentration and a minor in piano. She has assisted early childhood classes through CMS for the past two years and is thrilled to begin teaching classes this fall. Sadie has been involved in University of Delaware choirs and operas, and is a member of ACDA and MENC.

 



Sarah Schul


Sarah Schul is currently a sophomore at the University of Delaware majoring in Music Education with a Choral/General concentration. As a freshman, Sarah was involved in three of the on campus choirs as well as ACDA and MENC.  She looks forward to also
participating in the upcoming operas, Don Giovanni and Die Fledermaus, in 2010.  Sarah received her certification in the Edwin Gordon Music Learning Theory for Early Childhood during the summer of 2010 and cannot wait to begin leading classes this fall!  As she continues her education towards becoming a music teacher, she is thrilled about the opportunity to already be working with children.








Rebecca Thompson     

Rebecca Thompson is a sophomore Music Education Major with a Choral/General concentration at the University of Delaware. During freshman year, Rebecca was involved with the UD Marching Band, symphonic band, pep band, and schola cantorum. She is currently public relations officer for ACDA, a member of the brass quintet for ProjectMUSIC, and a member of the MENC chapter at Delaware.  This coming fall, she is very excited to be a member of the UD Chorale and the UD Opera.  During the summer of 2010, Rebecca received certification in the Edwin Gordon theory of Music Learning for the Early Childhood level and is very excited to start teaching CMS classes in fall of 2010.  Rebecca loves to work with children and is excited to become a music teacher in the near future.
